If you have an iPhone, I advise you to visit the iTunes App Store immediately and install Animoto, a free app and one of the coolest I’ve yet seen for iPhone.
I’m a huge fan of Animoto, the service that creates imaginative videos from static photos and music.
Once you sign up for a free account on the website, you can upload or link to some photos, choose some music, click a button or two and within a short time, you have a 30-second video. Open a paid account and you can create much longer videos and enjoy other benefits.
Now with Animoto on your iPhone, you can easily create a short video from photos on your phone or that you shoot there and then to include in your video, wherever you happen to be.
Check out this Animoto iPhone video, which took me less than 5 minutes to select the pics from some I happen to have on my iPhone, choose some music from Animoto (and listen to previews of what I was considering before selecting a track), hit the button and wait a bit for the notification email:
So spontaneous and so simple. This will be a huge hit!

It's pretty neat, so easy to use. Heh, I just made another quick one :) http://tinyurl.com/6v7b36
Yes, I discovered the 12seconds.tv iPhone app the other day (http://tinyurl.com/3wskdv).
Animoto and 12seconds are two very different apps. Sure, both will produce a video but Animoto does it with some astonishing logic working at the backend. I have no idea how it works, but the results are terrific – and different every time. And longer than 12 seconds :)
erm yeah, that is pretty obvious to most people. the guys that built it came from a production and animation background so that is why it looks good. i found i used it a few times then left it alone. would be good if they had an api.
Yet another iPhone app for making short, cool vid ones. Thanks for the tip, Neville. Love the rockin' beats, too
Another cool vid. And more great tunes.
check out 12seconds new one (i think you have already) they do the same and you can add some audio which is neat. :) – thanks for the headsup on this one thou.
