Tomorrow I’ll be in Manchester participating in Marketing 2.0, a half-day seminar from KMP Interactive Marketing and Technology.
We will be discussing how the web is dramatically influencing the way in which people communicate and interact with brands and companies.
My contribution to the overall theme is about public relations and the impact of social media. I’ll be talking about the good, the bad and the ugly as I see those things, with examples of each.
I’m looking forward to this event as it will also give me an opportunity to get a sense of what’s going on in the northwest of England with regard to social media – what companies think about social media and who’s doing what.
Marketing 2.0 will also take place in London on July 15. Hope to see you there if you can’t be in Manchester tomorrow.

Was hoping to make it tomorrow, but client work has got in the way again. Hope it goes well, and I’m sure I’ll catch you next time you’re up this way.
Sorry I’m going to miss you speaking on my home turf. Back to back meetings mean I won’t make it but after meeting Bill at KMP, I know it will be a great event and highly recommend everyone in Manchester to attend.
Thanks, Chris and Mike. A pity not to have the opportunity to meet face to face. Next time!
Mike, appreciate that recommendation. I’ll be sure to tell Bill :)
