Gutter trash

Whatever anyone says about Strumpette, aka Amanda/they/it/whatever, it does have a place in your RSS reader as it is in mine.

I find some of Amanda’s stuff is worth reading although the experience is usually numbed by the vindictiveness of much of the writing that masquerades as satire.

Still, it’s been there in my RSS reader since the blog started in March.

The latest post, though, goes well beyond the pale as far as I’m concerned with its latest salvo in an ongoing personal attack on Scott Baradell, with its appalling references to him, a goat and Scott’s wife.

Come on, Amanda. Satire? You’ve really stepped into the gutter this time. Up to your neck in that sewer of angry self-righteousness.

What on earth are you thinking of with trash like this?

We were thinking exactly what blog journalism is. Trash… okay. But remember, “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”

So far we’ve had 24 personal notes calling the article “inspired,” “brilliant,” “the best so far,” etc. Neville, perhaps you should give it more than a superficial read.

    Cheers,

I love strumpette. You see, it’s clever and inspired like wonkette. You can tell because they both have “ette” at the end. Hence, they are both clever.
Yeah, I don’t know anyone involved in any of it but I sure as fuck don’t care to either. I was pretty apalled. Mostly by the length of it.

Had scott not outed Connolly this would not have happend.

Everything Brian Connolly touches fails. Why should this by any different.

Yes, Amanda, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

I’m not interested in any conversation here about that or your post. You follow your path and good luck to you.

[…] Although Amanda Chapel tends to piss off everyone I know in the PR community – and has gone really over the top in the past – I do get a kick from some of her/his satirical stuff on Strumpette like this acerbic post on blogola. Especially the comments. It all goes well with my second cup of coffee. […]
