K2 perseverance…

Well, let’s give K2 one more shot.

I’ve just upgraded WordPress to the latest version 2.1 and K2 to version 0.9.1 RC1. Both upgrades went smoothly with no issues, thanks to Dreamhost’s one-click install/upgrade service for WP and Steve Lam’s K2 upgrade guide.

The thing is, I really like K2 notwithstanding my constant frustration with trying to figure out how to do things.

So one more go at understanding K2 to see if I can use this latest version on my main blog when I upgrade that to WP 2.1.

Hey Neville, just came across your sandbox as I’m looking to experiment with a ‘blog’ section for my holiday blog and like you I’m a DH customer, so shouldn’t have problems installing.

HP is run on Textpattern but I want to use WP for the blogging part. I really like K2 and especially this style by Ivan - it would fit nicely with my HP site.

But I didn’t realise that K@ doesn’t play well with IE6/7. I’m an OSX user running FF but most of the people visiting HP use Windows running IE6/7

I will follow your sandbox with interest ;-)

Garrison, the latest K2 (meaning, latest stable vs a nightly) that I run here seems to play fine with IE6 and 7.

Re DreamHost 1-click install, that’s offering WP 2.1. Not yet 2.1.1 so you’d need to manually upgrade from 2.1 to that latest WP.

Cheers Neville. I’m looking into it.

This tarski style is lovely! One thing though, I’d prefer the sidebar over on the right - it seems weird these days when you see main nav over on left.

I presume that would require a simple change?
