I’ve never been interested in motorbikes to the extend of wanting to buy one, but Judgement Days from Harley-Davidson in the UK could potentially change that.

Judgement Days is a promotion that lets you test ride a Harley of your choice, free, during a near month-long themed promotion from mid April to mid May.

According to UK biking site Visordown.com, Judgement Days is the largest ever demo test ride campaign staged by Harley-Davidson UK.

[There are] approximately 4,500 ride opportunities across the four-week period. Each person that completes a test ride will be entered into a free prize draw for a Harley-Davidson CVO Springer motorcycle worth almost £20,000.

Winning a a Harley like that will no doubt be a big appeal to Harley enthusiasts in particular, and maybe serious bikers generally. Me? I might be interested in a Fat Boy (like the miniature I have).

For someone like me, though – whose rosy-tinted concept of riding a Harley is today strongly influenced not so much by Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper but more by John Travolta, Tim Allen, William H. Macy and Martin Lawrence – a test ride at the ‘new rider’ level would probably be more prudent. (Jeez, what happened? Safe middle age crept up and went far too quickly. :)

However I might look at it, it’s a terrific opportunity to explore one of the icons in popular culture!
