Courtesy of 3 and 3mobilebuzz, I have an INQ1 mobile phone on loan for the next few weeks. Check the Flickr slideshow for some pics of this phone that I took this morning (with a Nokia N95 8GB)

My immediate impression: the INQ1 is clearly aimed at digital natives – I’ll even call them ‘the Facebook younger generation’ – with its focus on easy connectivity and sharing on the move with that social network.

According to 3:

Everything you’d expect from a great phone plus access to Facebook like never before. You can get Facebook notifications direct to your INQ1. Status updates, on-screen profile pics and loads more, straight to your address book.

Sounds great although on my first try to connect to Facebook, I couldn’t connect to my own account (see the screenshot in the slideshow). Maybe a poor connection to 3’s cellular network at that moment, something I’ve experienced before. I’ll be trying that again when I’m out and about during the Christmas break.

I like the packaging and overall presentation. And its affordability (£79.99 on pay-as-you-go) puts this phone in a different segment of the market than iPhone or any of the high-end Nokia smartphones.

Plenty of talk already about this phone. I’ll have a initial video review soon on my tech blog.
