A new venture with Bond PR

bond-i-logo A press release was published this morning announcing the launch of Bond-i (short for ‘Bond Interactive’), a new venture I’m starting with Bond PR International.

Bond-i focuses on social communication. That means applying a strategic view to social media and traditional PR, and our plans initially include:

  • Consultancy and training in social media communication
  • Blog management
  • Blog relations integrated into strategic public relations
  • Online press office management
  • Production and distribution of podcasts and video clips

I’m very excited to have found a partner like Bond PR – and especially CEO Tom Burgess – where both of us will benefit from bringing together complementary knowledge and skills into creating a credible offering for businesses in the UK and across Europe.

For my part, this new venture enables me to connect with some forward-looking people in an international agency group who recognize the increasing importance and relevance of social media in the overall PR mix, and which we will carry forward to clients together.

What it also means is that I’ll be continuing doing others things on my own account, especially the FIR podcast series with Shel. Nothing changes in that regard.

As we’re in the social media space with Bond-i, we’re still building out what we’re going to be doing. So on the website, we still have some i’s to dot and t’s to cross (as I also do on this site).

But no matter: as we launch our venture, we’re setting out our public stall and we’ll tell our story as we develop it. The first part of that story is in today’s press release (and the social media version).

Of course, we have a blog – BondBuzz – and I’d welcome your thoughts and opinions there on what you think of what we’re doing. And any other opinions you care to share.

And so I say ‘Welcome, Bond-i’ as we get cracking with our new venture.

All the best Neville on your new venture.

We are looking forward to learn from you. Injecting successfully social media to “traditional” PR agencies is a big bet of our new world.

Sounds like really exciting news, Neville, nice one!

Interested to know why the blog is on a separate domain to the main website, especially when they both run on WordPress… Is there a magic PR/marketing reason for this?
