iPod via your car radio: Now it’s legal

I had a great feeling of liberation yesterday - driving along listening to a podcast on my iPod via my car stereo, and doing it completely legally.

Yesterday On Friday, a change in the law came into force in the UK that makes it legal to do this.

There is already a proliferation of gadgets on the market here that let you do this, like these. Legal to buy, illegal to use until now (how crazy does that seem?). I use the Griffin Roadtrip which not only transmits what’s on my iPod but also charges the battery.

Go on, get liberated in time for Christmas!
