TypePad outage again

Nearly three hours later and I’m still seeing this error message every time I try and leave a comment on a TypePad blog:

typepadoutage

Blogs themselves seem to be working ok; it’s when you click the comment submit button that you then get the error page. Very frustrating if you’ve typed a lengthy comment.

So, Simon, here’s my (brief) comment to your post “Open reply (obviously!) to Colin Farrington’s comments at PR Voice“:

“I find Colin’s stubborn ignorance depressing truly sad (in the traditional sense of the word)for the CIPR and PR as a whole.” You said it, Antony. Clueless. Not only about social media but also about effective communication.

You’ll need to read Simon’s post and the comments there (especially Antony Mayfield’s) to see the full picture.

And TypePad, what does “TypePad is currently unavailable for maintenance” mean? You’re unavailable for maintenance? You’re unavailable because of maintenance? Or what?

Ridiculous. I’m pissed at the time wasting with TypePad. And yes, I moved from TypePad to WordPress, partly influenced by stuff like this. Still have my moblog there, though.

Ok, let’s have the smacks about my getting on TypePad’s case again and get it over with.

[Update 13 July @ 12:25 CET] According to Everything TypePad, service was restored last night at 7:30pm PDT (that’s 4:30am CET today). Guidance here on what to do if your TypePad blog is now missing any content.
