We’ve just set up shop in Second Life, the virtual world where there’s already a growing community of podcasters.
The FIR Shop is located on the ground floor in the Podcasters Mall on Podcast Island. If you’re a member of the Second Life community, teleport to the island at 139,75,25 and follow the red arrow to get to the store.
It’s pretty bare bones at the moment as the screenshot shows, but we’ll be spending a bit of time there in the coming weeks getting the place a bit more ship-shape. We’ll also be talking in upcoming FIR episodes about what we’re planning to be doing in Second Life.

Any idea of why when I try and visit you that I can’t get in? There seems to be some sort of restriction on me entering!
Rob, here’s the way I suggest you use to get to the FIR store:
1. Make sure that the Second Life app is not running on your computer.
2. Go to http://slurl.com/secondlife/Podcast Island/139/75/25/
3. When you click on that link you’ll get a web page with a further link. Click on that which launches Second Life on your computer.
4. In the Second Life app, click the ‘connect’ button to log on to the SL server.
5. Doing that will then teleport you to the telepoint location on Podcast Island close to the Podcasters Mall.
6. Follow the red arrow to get to the FIR store.
