Heading off today to Vancouver, Canada, to be part of the IABC 2006 international conference which kicks off tomorrow.

Straight into my session tomorrow afternoon, a panel I’m leading on “Organizational Communication 2.0: The Age of Social Communication.” With my fellow panelists Shel Holtz and Allan Jenkins, I’m pretty sure we will have a framework for some stimulating discussion.

Shel and I will continue acting as the conference’s official podcasters as we seek more opportunities (ie, buttonhole likely suspects) for insights, news and views on the people and happenings during the event. I don’t plan on any sustained live blogging from the conference although there may be some posts here (and photos on my moblog). I will be posting podcasts and some posts on the conference blog.

We’ll also be producing Monday’s edition of FIR from the conference, much as we did with show #116 at the New Communications Forum in Palo Alto last March. Plus, tomorrow night, we’ll be meeting up with some of our listeners at an FIR Dine-Around in Vancouver.

Then after Vancouver, on to New York for the Corante Innovative Marketing Conference where Shel and I will be podcasting there, too, as well as speaking. More on this event later including more about the FIR/ATS Geek Dinner next Thursday.

So, irregular posting here for a while. Plus email/blog comment response times may take a bit longer (well, nothing new there!). If you’re going to the IABC conference, or to the Corante event, I look forward to seeing you.
